The Feroce Carbon L is an ISCG05 mountain bike chain guide with a forged carbon CNC milled backplate, designed for demanding enduro and downhill riding on bikes running larger chainrings. Compatible with 32–36T chainrings. Weight: 63 g.

The bash guard covers 25% more of the chainring and drivetrain than its predecessor, with a foamed rubber chain-facing surface for silent operation on rough terrain. The upper cage attaches with a single 4 mm Allen key — seamless assembly and disassembly with one tool. Guide plates moulded from high-impact polyamide (PA6). Hardware: aluminium 7075 + stainless steel ISCG05.

Description

The Feroce Carbon L was developed for demanding enduro and downhill riding on bikes running 32–36T chainrings — the standard configuration for modern long-travel enduro and DH builds where maximum chainring coverage and drivetrain protection are required on technical descents, steep trails and rough terrain, at the lowest possible weight.

The L version features a longer upper cage than the S, optimised for larger chainrings and providing increased chain engagement across the full 32–36T range. The bash guard covers 25% more of the chainring and drivetrain compared to the previous generation, increasing protection against rocks, roots and boulders at speed. The chain-facing surface is made of foamed rubber, eliminating drivetrain noise on rough terrain. The backplate is CNC milled from forged carbon — a material with higher fibre volume content and greater variation in strand orientation than standard carbon, resulting in higher average strength at lower weight than an equivalent aluminium construction. At the 32–36T scale, this advantage is most apparent: the larger bash guard geometry requires a stiffer and more impact-resistant structure, which forged carbon delivers without the weight penalty that aluminium would add at this size. The upper cage screws to the backplate with a single 4 mm Allen key — the entire chain guide assembles and disassembles using one tool. Developed as the successor to the HXR Carbon.

Compatibility

Compatible with frames equipped with ISCG05 mounts. Supports 32–36T chainrings. Hardware: aluminium 7075 + stainless steel ISCG05.
