The backplate is manufactured from pressed 1.5 mm steel sheet — formed to shape under press, providing a stiff and durable structure suited to the higher chain forces generated by e-bike drive systems. Guide plates are moulded from high-impact polyamide (PA6). The guide mounts directly to the Shimano drive unit — no crankset or drivetrain removal required.
