At 36 grams, it is lighter than most competing alloy bash guards — and lighter than any carbon bash guard in its category that includes a foam insert on the chainring-facing surface for chain noise elimination.
The backplate is CNC-milled from forged carbon — a material that delivers high impact resistance and stiffness in a complex three-dimensional shape that would add significant weight if machined from aluminium. The bash guard geometry can follow the curvature of the chainring precisely, maximising protection coverage without the material waste and weight overhead of subtractive manufacturing from a solid billet. The foam insert on the chainring-facing surface dampens chain contact under suspension movement and rough terrain, resulting in silent drivetrain operation — a combination not found in competing products at this weight class.
Mounts directly to the ISCG05 frame standard using 2 bolts. No crankset removal required.
