Description
The Piano Steel ISCG05 takes a fundamentally different manufacturing approach to the alloy and carbon versions. Where the Piano Alloy is CNC-machined from a solid aluminium billet and the Piano Carbon is CNC-milled from forged composite, the Piano Steel achieves its rigidity through the geometry of a pressed 1.5 mm steel sheet with a special profile — no material removal required.
This approach makes the Piano Steel the most accessible version of the Piano lineup while delivering the same chain retention performance and trail protection on technical terrain. The backplate is finished with a black zinc coating for long-term corrosion resistance, with a laser-engraved logo. Guide plates are moulded from high-impact polyamide (PA6). Mounts to ISCG05 using 2 bolts — no crankset removal required. An additional set of guide plates for oval chainrings is included.
